FAQ

Questions people usually ask

Is this medical advice?

No. Arkway tracks what you report and explains patterns in it, but it never diagnoses an injury or prescribes treatment. When something needs a real person, it says so and points you to a parent, coach, athletic trainer, or doctor.

Can my parent see everything I log?

No. Parent View shows your schedule, goals, and whether anything's been flagged. It does not show your day-to-day mood or soreness check-ins, or the specifics behind a safety flag. That stays between you and whoever you choose to talk to about it.

Does the AI Coach ever pretend to be a real person?

No. It's upfront about being an AI, and it's built to say when a question is outside what it can responsibly answer rather than guess.

Does this only work for basketball?

No, it's meant to be sport-agnostic. The examples are basketball because that is what it was first built around, but the profile, schedule, and goals all work for any sport.

What if I don't want to log something?

Don't. Nothing beyond a minimal profile (sport, position, a couple of goals) is required. Mood, soreness, and everything else is opt-in.

What happens to my data right now?

It's saved to your account in a database hosted by Supabase. Progress photos are the exception: they stay on your device and are never uploaded. Arkway is in early access and hasn't had an outside security review yet.

Is there a cost?

Everyone starts on Free, which costs nothing and includes logging, two training programs, and the AI Coach with 5,000 ARK tokens a day. Basic, Enhanced, and Unlimited are paid monthly plans, but payments aren't switched on yet, so none of them can be bought. The Plans page compares all four.
